In defense of a secular Christmas
I am not a Christian. Do I believe in God? Sort of. Maybe. The jury’s out, but the point here is that I don’t worship in church/ mass, don’t believe Jesus was God incarnate, etc. But every year, I wish people a cheerful “Merry Christmas!”

Cream of Potato Soup
3 good-sized red potatoes, roughly cubed 1/4 of an onion, chopped 2 Tbsp butter 1 1/2 C heavy cream 1 tsp ground coriander 1 tsp Sriracha sauce 1/2 C cheese sea salt to taste
Boil potato hunks until soft. In the meantime, brown onions in butter in a skillet. When browned, add cream and bring to a boil. Reduce heat to simmer and mix in coriander and Sriracha sauce. Continue...
